Mod IV Delay files missing
Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
it IS sys files that Scope is looking for, not dsp files. these are them, taken from here:

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
Well thanks as now I have a boatload of Patches I never knew about.
Once I got the Tape Delays working I never went back to the Mod IV link.
I need to start checking them out since nobody ever makes an announcement about anything.
Hell Scope 6 might even be ready and it's on some hidden page there....
Thanks

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
Still no luck. I made patches with these 2 modules. But I rearranged stuff.
I moved the Mod IV modules away from the Devices folder.
Now these are in the Modulars folder. Would that matter?

yes.
a computer is just a file cabinet. if the files aren't where they should be...
the modules should be added to the older modules in the module folder.

But strange only these 2 files are bothered with this.

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
eh...maybe strange...
you want the modules in the proper folder even if only so that they are properly available in the modular menu in the shell.
the "as administrator" setting would be the usual culprit seeing that nessage, because the delay needs to access memory and would normally be barred from access by windows unless you have given explicit instructions to windows to allow Scope to "make changes to the system". other modules wouldn't be affected.
with the modules in the wrong folder, the system may not be accessing the files properly.
i'll admit to be grasping at straws a bit. it's kind of impossible for it not to work if everything in your computer is right, although i'm sure that the proeblem exists...

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
It should work with that ver of Modular IV on XITE under 32 bits. I got the delays working for this article on XITE-1D
http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_06/tapeecho.htm
I do remember I had to rebuild the Modular patch from scratch after applying the patch, as it seemed the crash from the original tape delay corrupted the modular patch. I dont think I had to rebuild the entire project, but you could build a small one from scratch to try eliminate that possibility if you havent already.

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
Starting fresh doesn't work.
They have worked.
At this time I'm busy with other research&projects, so I don't miss them instantly.
After September I will have a look again.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
Roland,
I am using 32bit Scope 5.1 as well. I never tried tape delay in Modular IV until today. When I tried it I experienced the same problem you have been having. I easily resolved the problem by downloading dawnman's files and installing them. Place the files tapeDelay.sys and tapeDelayShort.sys in the following path:
Scope PCI or XITE/App/Sys

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
Roland,
In your Scope window go to the tab, Set:

Select the last option, Search Settings. Make sure you have it set correctly so that Scope can find what it needs to. You can do what I do and have Scope go to your Scope folder to find everything by ticking the box at the top "Use setting for all file types", or maybe un-check that box and try separate settings for each option to trouble shoot this problem (Modules/Devices, Programs/Samples, Presets, and All Files). I'll bet this may be the problem, since you have the modules there and Scope is not recognizing them.

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
I can confirm Modular IV Tape Delay(s) working here on Win8 x64 Scope 5.1 XITE-1D once garyb's FTP download patch above has been applied - from there I got the tape delay sys and mdl files.

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
Still no luck.
They have worked here on my laptops.
The BBDelay is working only the Tape Delays stopped after remapping devices.
At the moment I 'm very bussy with other things, I let you know what will work.
Thanks guys.

Re: Mod IV Delay files missing
I have encountered the same problem and to solve it, i needed the 4 files included inside the zip file.
You have to copy all files into your app\sys folder and replace the existing ones.
It worked for me, hope it will for you too.
here's the file

Ladies & Gentlemen............DJMicron.

If all 4 files need to be replaced, what is the singel sys. file you linked to download..?
Should all 4 files be replaced, after removing the old files, then add the sys. file you included...?
Thanks So Much.

The download is a zip containing the 4 sys files to be replaced.
Unzip it, then replace the files.
