Re: DAS SL9000 sound?

Well the latest SL9000SC sounds the same but functions perfectly w/ presets and multiple instances, which I suppose is a good way to master an entire drum score.
I have the X-Channel, SL9000's and now the new C350 and I really like the X and the C350 the best.
The new C350 obviosly uses a new algo as the slightest adjustments are immediately noticable and can do wonders on drums and vocals.
I used it on live vocals the last couple of nights and it's perfect for that.
It could be my ears but the room I perform in lately seems to change nightly according to how many people fill the dance floor and seating. So having such a precise tool works really well if I need to change anything.
Most of the time if more volume is needed, I usually would raise the gain stage of a hardware EQ so I could retain the mix, but these days w/ the all in the box appraoch I can raise the volume and tweak the EQ. It's usually the vocals that need a little extra EQ.
The C350's gate is perfect for clipping effect tails and also shuts down so other sounds coming from onstage monitors doesn't bleed through.
I run it post effects and it is a great tool.
I will start using the Master IT next week live and see how it works.
These are really great tools to have. When they sound so good in headphones you can imagine how nice they are through quality monitors.
Real Nice Job DAS has done with these dev.'s.
