but you selected the S&S pack option...?!
ask ralf if you can buy the upgrade again, this time with M&M pack.
if you updated, nevertheless, a scope pro, you should have vinco already. only a luna won't benefit from the upgrade, if you're after one of the packs...

Maybe I'll get Solaris 5 from Zarg as soon as it'll come out then!

Nice end-of-the-year bonus! This time it will not be sweets for my stomach but chocolate for my ears

Anyone know if there's an upgrade deal for Solaris 4.1 owners? Couldn't see that anywhere.

My favorite new trick in Solaris is the tricks that are going to be carried over to the hardware version such as PolyGlide.
While most VA's seemed to be developed by guys who never played the real deal, this is proof that JB knows analog rather well.
Each Oscillator has it's own amount of Glide attached to it, just like they did on the big ones.

The benefits of DSP and virtual should be enhancements to the old emulation instead of half baked feeble efforts.
Solaris 5.0 is proof that the old sound and performance features not only can be captivated, but ENHANCED.........what a concept.
There is a VSTi called Rapture that allows this " rare " feature, but it cannot be compared for quality of sound though. However, there's a chance that it's awesome waveforms can be used in Solaris 5.0. I am looking into that.

Here's a jpeg. of my beloved beast and a silly James Bond 007 stereo take of the FAT BASTARD in action.

True Polyphonic seperate Oscillator glide amounts, very slight, and zero portamento.
I have only 1 x card on my synth DAW but 5 voices is quite FAT.
No jive ass Flanger/Chorus but natural attempts at detuning to get the Oberheim Voice cards tunings and sound.

Wow, thanks for putting that up!

It *does* sound like Oberheim!

Can I get that out of my Red Dwarf? ( Which is RED! )

Maybe with two instances? Dang, spare time getting thin....

Uh-oh... having fun trying. Fun vs gotta get to bed. Vs fun. Vs gotta go to bed. Vs...uh-oh.

Hello,

The FP Mixers = FP 104 & 106 B + FP 106C + MB4 "1" + some modulators (3LFo and LFO+EF) and some inserts effects (Compsat and Gainsat, S-Filter-1) ( most of them listed here)
Fat Inserts = FAT inserts + LimFat

FP106C comparison: more modulators inputs, feedback on mod inputs for quick sidechain in compSat, solo in presets.
FP 104/106B : lighter versions (less modulators). feedback only on some channels (ie, needs an external feedback to send individual output to mod input and use in CompSat). Solo not in presets but might be updated soon (So 104B can be up to date with 106C, this update should be for febrauary)..

Cheers

Mehdi

I've tested the triplet D-Verb, REV224 and Griesverb (now I own them).
Superb. Stunning. I love the sound. They are very high end and not expensive.

The winterspecials are still there on the SC site... :)
Either the webmaster extended his holiday, or due to succes they like to generate some extra sales this way (which happens most of the winter-/summersales anyway ;) )

well, I just followed your advice and consumed another...
after all, it's the winter special, and there is quite a lot of winter out there, from what I can see from a look outta my office window... I mean, I can't even guess where the tv tower is right now... no need to shut down the winter special this very moment. DAS seem not to have that much snow over there, as they put an end to their winter special already.
