i noticed planetz was running really slow today.
contacted the isp and they identified that another website hosted on the same server was under major spambot attack.
they killed a bunch of processes, and planetz was happy again.
they're planning on moving planetz to a new server, possibly tonight. i'll let you know...

I also noticed it, while I was browsing.

I found that when I send a donation things speed up quickly, then when they get slow again I know it's time for the same.

Here we are. New server, nice and fast!
Jimmy, i promise site speed is not correlated with donation amount. Otherwise the site would surely crawl!!!

Did anyone else find planet z disappeared today? With John on hols i thought we might not have anywhere to go for a week or so.

I just wanted to let you know that despite John being out of the country, the guy who runs the server (me) is still working on smoothing out the bumps that came along with the transition to the new server. I'm still tweaking this new server, and I'll be keeping an eye on it until I'm sure it is stable.
