Go to www.supermicro.com They use the best capacitors, resistors, SCSI ( Adaptec ). Also, they are perfect for audio as they have no extra worthless frills, just the meat and potatoes, ankyuvarymush.

Finally my quest for a 19" 4U rack audio computer has come to an end! I have bought a second hand Carillon AC1 on ebay. It came very cheap - the total is nearly the same as a standard 19" cabinet costs in Norway...
(It is a low spec Carillon though, (PIII/1Ghz/512Mb ram) but no other tham audio apps will be installed, so I think it will work fine with my 3 CW cards)

The carillon is a good choice if you have noise concerns, most rack cases I've come across aren't machined very well and will not contain noise - they are designed to be in a noisy server room environment.
You can put any motherboard in the carillon case whenever you want. They're very nice cases, but extremely heavy - probably not great for live use.
