Obviously it is not installed, that's why it is looking for it... But it seems that it is not needed either, since the device works...
But still the message is annoying...

I am with SFP 4.0... Maybe in 4.5 there is no problem... Or is it only me? :D

latest beta version (v0.4) is up!

- Added gain reduction circuit as requested by musurgio. It's represented by a new gain switch, which at low (default) implements the gain reduction & at high, is as it was (extreme tube drive).

- Calibrated input & output stages to +/- 12dB

Rodos & thermos, we'll look into the issue of the dsp file. We've not used anything outwith the sdk, so it's obviously an SFP issue on your part. Rodos may have nailed it when suggesting that it might be 4.0 / 4.5 oS related, although the dsp file dates back to '02, so perhaps not.

Thank you !!!
Now this is an awesome little plugin that can give some round sound !
I prefer the low settings giving that nice tube-like round bottom end to the sound !!
Now there is NO phase problem on this version !
I must admit that I know PREFER the second tube stage instead of the first !!
Whats actually the difference between them ?
It is the secnd drive stage that gives that nice sound !!
I like it a lot !!!

I wonder how could this sound when processing a guitar.. Seems I'll be busy for new year's eve

Do the tube drive knobs change the sound drastically or not? Both knobs set to full, and the only change I get is that the sound is simply a bit lower in volume.. Either, I have lost my hearing or the device doesn't work on my system! (maybe it has to do with the missing dsp file !?)...

P.S. This is my post number 666 ! :o

musurgio, the difference between the tube stages is simply that they are in series with the second stage having been through the filter. The next release will have a filter bypass, although there will still be a slight difference in the sound of the tube stages :)

rodos1979, the plugin isn't working correctly for you because you need the dsp file. I'm looking into this issue.

If you have this dsp, Shroomz, just post it so that me and thermos (and maybe others) can install it...

No, we don't have that dsp file :)

Anyone who has missing dsp file problems just post here or send me a PM.

I still have the unpacked install kits of both 4.0 and 4.5 around.
there is no such file in 4.0 (mine is from 2004, btw), but in 4.5.

it seems to be called ECC83SIMB1.dsp, precisely.

unfortunately one has to download the full pack from cw ftp to get this file...

Thanks Kylie, yes it seems that a version of this particular file dated '04 does come with SFP 4.5, so hopefully all 4.5 users will have it. Additionally, sdk users will have the older version I mentioned. There may also be 'some' users of SFP 4.0 who have it (dynatube users perhaps?) altough I really don't know yet.

The reason I haven't distributed the dsp file here is that I don't specifically have permission to do so.

hey shroomz.

thanks for this nice device... works like a charm!

useful, low on dsp and easy workflow GUI....

really nothing to argue. :)

you could think about more switchable filters inside....

LP,HP,BP, ... ? ... maybe a wet dry mix ratio with a very low adjustable delay for phaser and flanger fx.... between the distored and the dry sound.....

for more dramatic sound squeeeezzing

:)

best regards, THX, keep going

maybe that's why I have a different file date on the one residing in the dir where scope is installed to. they seem to be identical, though.

I don't know what the nda says, but aren't you allowed to include/redistribute files already included in the scope install kit?

Thanks for this. BTW is there a reason that it is a .mdl rather than a .dev? Not really sure what the difference is these days.

afaik (or can tell) a SFP system install includes .dsp files all CWA devices regardless if you've licensed a particular one or not.
Imho the ecc*.dsp file is part of the B2003, mine is dated from October 2005 and a few other files referring to B2003 and ProFive have the same modification date - unlikely that it's part of a prophet emulation ;)

since we're at it - maybe you could complete the FX unit (like in the organ) with Leslie and chorus vibrato - if the missing elements happen to be accessible in the SDK... I use it for FX only anyway :D

cheers, Tom

Hifiboom, thanks for the feedback & suggestions !! A version of this filter will follow which additionally has filter bypass & a pre-filter stereo insert.

Kylie, yes it does seem as though those differently dated files are the same file.

Mr.Arkadin, for this device as it stands (without presets), it makes no difference that it's a '.mdl' file afaik.

Cheers all !!

It makes absolute sense to include all the used dsp files with the free device. If you can make any device with sdk you can distribute it for free and that includes the dsp files to copy to the dsp folder, there is no doubt about, the device has to work for free on any system.

Tom, it could well be B2003 related. It could also be implemented in other plugs, but I doubt many of us here know which. What narrows this down a lot is that you're not running 4.0 or 4.5, but 3.X, so you may well be perfectly correct.

About the effects:- The pre-filter insert on the next version will give you a total of 2 stereo inserts on the device, one before the filter, one before the output stage. This particular filter will probably never have onboard delay FX for various reasons. Other filters might just have !!

Thanks for the advice Alfonso. The dsp file is now zipped & added as an xtra attachment in the first post of the thread. Future versions will come with the file.
