Nice move, for sure.
But, it looks like CWA goes into liquidation before closing down. This wouldn't be a very nice Xmas present...

Et vive Maomusique.

I think the spirit of this gift is being lost! This is a thank you for John Cooper, not the users of PlanetZ, or any other site. John has been an extremely important contributor to the Scope platform since I purchased my first board at the start of 1999, long before PlanetZ started, or any of the other sites. His expertise extends far beyond PlanetZ, and Creamware undoubtedly owes him a great deal, as do we all.

Thank you John! May there be many more returns on your investment of time and knowledge.

Happy Holidays!

I think it's a very possitive move from Creamware to acknowledge John's effort here. Cheers to that!

I was wondering if it would be possible to get a receipt for this purchace?

Absolutely. The "Me Too" is indeed out of place IMO.
Kudos to John Cooper and Love to ALL Creamware users

Thanks for the kind words!

I'd like to think of this Creamware deal as both a gift to me, and a gift to the forum users. These prices are better than anywhere else, so if you've been hoping to get one of these plugins/packs for yourself, you won't find a better deal

I'm still surprised, and humbled, by the gesture!

Cheers,
-John

Sounds like we got our first pulsars at about the same time!

I launched the planetz pulsar pages on January 15, 1999, and set up the first pulsar problem solving forums in March 2000. Then the forums as we know them now launched in March 2001.

How time flies!

Ah memories, memories (and lack there of!). I started with V1.0.11. I was a refugee from the Digidesign abandonment of the old AMIII card (they are still not forgiven, even though I am MUCH happier with my Scope!).

I'd forgotten that PlanetZ started so early. I also remember the various incarnations of Yahoo and pre-Yahoo groups. There were some remarkably knowledgeable and helpful people back then. And though the names have changed, the spirit lives on thanks to you and PlanetZ!

CREAMWARE : There should be the same offer for this forum !
If not it would be a shame !
Calm down, please.
If CWA chose PlanetZ then for some reason. Blaming them not for choosing any other forum - this is shame! If you don't agree - send an e-mail directly to CWA office and don't spoil others joy...

there are many ignorant answers, but I don't think that there were many who spoke knowing the great value that has the french forum to their users - its not the same "ambience" and not the same intensity !

I am really very glad for planetz - its great.

I did not ask to stop the offer on planetz but to show also the gratitude to Laurent and his great work since 5 years for the creamware community

Ce serait un geste de fête très agréable si Creamware a fait une contribution proportionnée à Laurent !!

o.o2 cents

(excuse my bad French)

No, I wasn't trying to be funny.

I shouldn't have used a smilie.

The point was to say that I think it would be a nice festive gesture if Creamware were to contribute a proportionate donation to Laurent or MaoMusique just as you suggest. My French however, is terrible. My apologies for that.

I also must say that I believe Planet Z to be a *huge* asset to Creamware & that is thanks to John, without whom there may be no PlanetZ or equivalent. This is exactly why Creamware are helping John with a nice Xmas donation. PlanetZ is one of if not their biggest asset.

0.02 cents again

Seems to me CW can't make any offer/gesture without getting a backlash, so i think in future they shouldn't bother, thus avoiding any further criticism.

I repeat that the move is great ! Stay positiv !

and I only try to show that it would be really a nice gesture if they would show their gratitude also to maomusique

Is this really so bad ?
