I have a setup with five connectors (two scope and one p2 connected with two connectors to the others), no probs so far in that regard (on a p4t and previously on a tusl2 and cusl2). The more connectors the less the alert "no more stdm channels available" will occur.
But what exactly is the problem ?
I have this same problem with a 6+3+3 setup. I think he's saying that he's getting the 'no more STDM connections available message'. I also get hit with this message a little more than I would like. I'm guessing that all 5 STDM connections between your scope pro boards are getting used. I was under the impression that if you connected a p2(2xSTDM) to a scope pro system, that only 2 STDM connections could be used throughout the system. Now it appears I may have been wrong. Does this mean that say I was to buy another p2. Would I be better off with a 6+6+3 setup than just a 6+6? (ie. the p2's would still communicate across 2xSTDM connections and the other card would use just the one connection but wouldn't drag the whole system down to 1 STDM connection)
Funny thing is I didn't know about the DSP resources getting eaten up with additional STDM connections. I'd always wondered why it seemed I was getting a little bit less extra power than expected, each time I added an additional card to the system.

I've got 3 CW boards - 15, 6 & 3 dsp.
The Scope & SRB are connected with 2 cables. The Luna, with only 1 stdm bus, is on the first cable.
I regularly load my DSP to 95%.

Ah, like a breath of Air, finally someone with multiple Scope Pro boards in a thread asking for the setups of users of multiple Scope Pro boards... wow, thanks Wolf
Well i think having two threads with almost the same and somewhat confusing title is stupid too. This one thread is enough, be happy that any of us bothered responding at all.

i think it would be easier to just have this one thread and you do the collating. Just thought that quote sounded a bit sarcy is all.

I use 1 Pulsar I card plus 2 Pulsar II cards (3 cards in total)and 1 STDM cable and have no problems whatsoever.

Hi all,
2PowerPulsar + PulsarII SRB: 3 STDM.
Got this kind of messages even at 50% load, seems to me linked to the synths polyphony and which synths are running concurrently.
regards
Michel

Interesting. This sounds very similar to the problem I'm having at this end. Especially when working with the modular. I'll only have about 50% of the DSP in use but need to reduce polyphony to compensate for the lack of STDM connections. When you say you're running with 3 STDM, how do you have that connected up? Is it a single STDM cable running between the cards? or is it something more like 3x STDM cables with only 2 of them running between all 3 cards?
Also, the message I get most often is telling me that I can't have any more STDM connection between boards 0 and 2. Which board is 0? Is it actually referring to boards 1&3 as they appear on the DSP Meter window?

Hi Sharc,
Standard connections: 2 S/TDM for powerpulsar and the last connecting all of them.
Boad 0 should refer to what you declared in your config file
Best regards

Hi MD69,
surely you could have your Power Pulsars connected up like Wolf's Pro boards using 5 STDM between them (with only 2 going to the Pulsar II SRB) ??
