That's weird. My cards' MIDI is working fine. Currently have a Doepfer pocket dial sitting on one, had a Nord2 for almost 2 years, never ever had a problem.

It might be a MIDI overload/feedback problem, like the sequencer and the MIDI device continually sending back MIDI messages at each other, causing some overload? Logic has a setting to turn off feedback/MIDI thru on an interface for such situations. Have you guys tried to check MIDI flow using a MIDI monitor in cubase and/or SFP? (Sorry if question answered already)

i'd tend to agree, as my system has had every type of device(korg triton, roland u-20, mpc2000, yamaha dx7, yamaha psr, akai mpd16, pc1600x and others)connected with zero problems. my setups are simple. i have seen a complicated system have problems(freezes) but that was a clear overload problem(better served by using a steinberg midex3).

sorry i can't be of much help, but i can say that most people with this problem solve it.and most people have no problem. the normal condition of the hardware is functional, so maybe that will be some encouragement.........
