Managed to get the Vorb GUI loading in an FX track. Some (essential?) buttons are missing, like the XTC-specific Direct Output and XTC/DSP usage button. I could not get it to receive or transmit audio. It can neither be used as an Insert in Multi-FX.
For those who don't know about Vorb - we're trying to get an SFP synth which was
not designed to work in XTC to do that anyway. So no worries if it doesn't work, call it a style excercise

Hi Tom
Thanks for having a go with the Vorb! I am considering getting the Vocodizer and using that instead?!

O.K.
Interesting information.
I'll also try to rename another .dll to vocodizer.dll.
I have no time today but I'll try it this weekend...

Hi
I purchased the Vocodizer using one of my 50%ers. It works just fine in XTC mode although I think I prefer the sound of the Vorb. Thanks Nisse for starting this one off.....

Hiya Kenf.
Too bad about the Vorb not functioning in XTC, but at least now you have a high quality vocoder in XTC mode instead of using the Cubase vocoder.
However, have you figured out how to route an external synthesis signal into it?

Hi Nisse
I have managed to get some sound out inserting the Vocodizer into an input channel in SX2 and using direct monitor. I haven't tried using it in a 'real' recording yet but just put a guitar through it and play my keyboard at the same time... a bit tricky but I got a Vocoded signal out.
I will have a better play over the weekend.
