I think Nestor's queste for the best Pulsar DAW in the world is unbeatable.
On windows I would just blind follow his path!
Only one choise of him is improveable: that of the platform itselves!

what do you think about the mobo, is the asus p4c800e -deluxe ok or not? what about its chipset should I want the 875p or 865pe and what is the difference ?
Ok, first of all let me tell everyone i'm no pro DAW builder. Although sometimes I like to think I am. Maybe I should start my own business.

865 vs 875. I can't really tell you as i have not used an 875 mobo. My thread a few couple of weeks ago debated the whole thing. Basically it came down to this.

4 ASUS Motherboards, 4 people to suggest each differnt one. So it's still debatable.
Now ASUS throw in S and VM models to the P4P800 range. I found it hard to track down a P4P800. Because of the S and VM models taking over.

I believe that both 865 and 875 are both great motherboards! Personally I needed no extra features of DLX boards. I basically turn every thing off anyways(LAN,USB,ALL Ports, onboard sound, ECT...ECT...) All the extra features on dlx boards I would turn off anyways.

However the real question is which(865,875) is faster and more stable. Sorry but I cant anwser that. All I know is I really like the mobo i just got (ASUS P4P800 rev 2.0) as far as comparing it to others i cant.
