My system XP with SP3, MS library seems correctly installed
No fresh installation,
Scope 4.5 in: C:\SCOPE 4_5
Scope 5 in: C:\Programmi\SCOPE PCI
...next step i try:
1- Uninstall Scope 5 than reboot, (try scope 4.5 and not working and i can' t uninstall v.4.5

)
2- Reinstall Scope 4.5 ..reboot..all working and i can uninstall the software without problem..reboot
3- Clear directory and registry for fresh installation rebot
4- Reinstall Scope 5 ..reboot..now have exactly Sherlock problem (error at windows startp up and 0001 problem wow)
For Mpodrug, yes i got the message wihout error during installation (during step 1), i see the folder with driver but if try to install i receive the message: Driver for "Sonic Core Pulsar 2" is up-to-date. (without error)
I got minor problem with v.4.5 installed than fresh installation..
..need a break

From what I've read in this thread, I'm finding it hard to see much reason to upgrade from v4 to v5. I would like to try our the v5 RC but I suspect that this wouldn't be allowed as I'm still using v4 (well, not really 'using' as I find using VSTi so much more convenient and flexible). I think I'll be putting my Scope system out to pasture.
Regards,
David

Well not everyone 'gets' Scope i suppose.
Mr A.
PS. To braincell: i don't mute you because i'm small-minded but because you have nothing positive to say about
anything in life. Right now i don't need people like that so i don't feel the need to acknowledge your petty negative existence, it's not like you would ever say anything of interest to me.
Back to positive Scope 5 vibes

Just got my keys and tried out v5.
All i can say is thank you SC.Its just better all around...loads faster...doesnt crash on some wavelenght synths anymore looks better and i was worried about the looks earlyer. It reacts snappier as the previous version. All around a big win even if i miss the cable cut scissors but thats ok:P
Edit : And i just tried it out for 5 mins...i could be wrong but i think the dsp load is lesser overall on some devices but not sure.

Screenshots please.
I'd like to see the skin of V 5.0.
I agree, those cards are just totally worthless and need to be sold, especially the 6 DSP AES/EBU ones...............don't have one of those do ya'?

I used to 'get' Scope but that was back in the days of Creamware. Since then, I've seen less and less point in dedicated hardware like Scope. Currently I'm using about 30 different VSTi within Ableton Live and that gives me all the synthesis flexibility I need. I render rather than mix, so I'm not interested in Scope mixers. I've sort of hoped that Scope might eventually move with the times (cheaper rather than more expensive, XTC functioning rather than malfunctioning), but that's clearly not going to be the case in the near future, so it's really a no brainer to ditch Scope. But it was fun for a time, and I'll miss what was once the cutting edge that Creamware brought to PC music production.

What cards do you have?
I'd be more than happy to help you move those lame, behind the times, cumbersome clunkers.
Cheers.

Being a luddite, I'll take a back seat for a while and let you guys sort all the problems and "bugs" out.
Thank you all for the assistance that you'll be giving me

Got my keys, installed, and it worked right first time!
I only tried the included devices, for now, but everything seems to be working OK. I will be trying the 3rd party devices later. I'll have to install quite a few to be able to open my current projects.
First impressions are pretty good. I like the colour scheme, and the visual details. Soundwise, it seems the same to me. Old preset files can be opened on the new devices, which is also a good thing, and Pro12 is Profit5.
I had a bit of a flashback, reverting to the standard devices reminded me of my first days with the Pulsar

Without the SpaceF mixers, Flexor and Bowen synths this does look a bit strange. Old, but new
Nice to see some new plugins included with the base package - although I already had the SL9000, RMX160 and the A&P100 reverbs - these will add great value for newcomers.
The adventure continues!!!
