The ball is in his court ... now he knows you're all on to him that is ...

When he comes back again in another disguise you should keep your findings a secret, thus retaining some power. ... It should be pretty obvious that he'll ditch the email address.

he'll be back tho ..

The ears are too large!!! I don't know how to make them smaller (my shrink gun is broken .)

So how about we settle for a weird bunny/kitty alien-engineered mutant??

19 inches eh?

Sheit, even with his son of a Donkey's manhood that would outweigh our friend's.

He doesn't know about his Mother's trip to Donkey bliss the year before he was born. Then again you'd think having big floppy ears, a tail & four hoofs would be a BIT of a give away.

Hard Trance now has a Donkey

See?
You're doing it again.
A few words of dissent are met with pithy stock answers like "Works fine here", "Sell your gear", "Why not go make some music?" or "Haven't you got more important things to do than post here?".

Frustration results and before you know it the poster is ostracised. No room for anyone but fanatics.

The lack of progress from CW in undeniable and the general reaction here ranges from complacency to downright sycophancy.
Fine for the flat-earthers, but some of us want to see the product developed and a bit of pressure from the main CW forum might just help.

doodyrh, there's a difference between criticism (we should all be open to that) and trolls who want to compare cock sizes (i've got more releases than you, ner) and resort to insulting people. Look at his adult comments on the other forums, the guy suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Driver Syndrome.

doodyrh, you fail to see the most important thing that's been said constantly throughout this thread (obviously this is common, as common sense is lost when the forum fury arrives...).

To repeat: we are not an official CW forum. We're not interested in seeing rants - if you feel strongly about what you say then email CW direct.

WTF do you think you're going to achieve here? Revolution against a tiny German company? Get real and give us a break.

If you have any experience in this industry, you know that some gear works out for you, some doesn't. You equate that to us putting our heads in the sand and pretending nothing is wrong? Get over it, this isn't the place for a crusade. Try speaking to some Korg Oasys PCI users or some Pro Tools Mix users. Then come back and tell us why you're somehow more entitled to something.

We're happily using our cards making music. I quite happily use other gear as well. The bottom line is acquire what works well for you and move on.

Found a nice deal for you, Tuccos and doodyrh:

http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... &forum=8&0

Is it really worth the stress to keep your cards just for the right to complain? Do you love getting caught up in blind fury on forums that much?

Make this guy and yourself happier instead

Well doodyrh, I don't know if you've noticed, but Creamware almost died a couple years back because of the Noah fiasco. What this means, realistically, is that they had to lay off most of their employees, they had to pay back creditors (i.e. very low cash post-near-backruptcy.) Alot of the engineers who developed the system originally aren't there anymore. They are now a *very* small company, and yet people expect them to perform BETTER than Microsoft, Digidesign, Steinberg, Korg, Yahama, *COMBINED!*

Some of us understand this and accept it and live with the glitches, in the hope that they might rebuild their business and hire more engineers to dedicate to SFP, while keeping their current system in use.

Others, like you, even though perfectly aware of the current situation of the company and it's lack of engineers, even though there's been a million thread about this and everyone in the civilized world has already had the occasion to voice and read every stupid and imaginable complaint about drivers and 64bit and XTC mode and how-about-the-same-thing-but-in-a-box-with-firewire-and-cheaper-too,
thru it all, you people act as if the whole system was completely unusable. Completely utterly not f*cking true, whatever paranormal and out of this world perspective you look at the situation from.

Is the system glitchy? YES!

CAN YOU NAME ANY TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCT THAT ISN'T?

I don't think you can (maybe a spoon?) CPUs are full of bugs and glitches (lists easily available,) ALL SOFTWARE have bugs, some with lists of THOUSDANDS of entries (alot of which the developing company *isn't every going to do anything about*.)

My Virus Indigo, even with the latest OS, has a couple glitches, The TI has glitches, Waldorf products have glitches, your current operating system has (tons of) bugs and glitches, my motherboard's BIOS has glitches and bugs (yet I still love it)!

Would we all like a Linux version? YES

OSX support? YES

64bit OS support? YES

Totally glitch free operation of all devices and infrastructure? YES

Flawless WDM drivers? YES

Flawless VST integration? YES

192KHz? YES

More DSPs? YES

More 3rd party devices? YES (although seriously, if you can't do anything worthwhile with the current palette of available tools, nothing will ever help you)

Gigastudio 2.0 drivers? YES (I don't use GS, but hey)

Firewire outboard box with more and faster DSPs and cheaper and flying? YES

System installed by naked technician, preferably Monica Bellucci? YES

I WOULD LOVE ALL THOSE THINGS!!!

I'm sure everyone here agrees on this. NO ONE said otherwise, NO ONE said these things are useless (except 64bit =P), not wanted, not desirable, ideally of course.

BUT HERE IS THE COLD HARD TRUTH

NONE OF THESE THINGS (except maybe the OSX part, and even then), CONTRARY TO YOUR BELIEFS, WOULD NET CREAMWARE A GOOD AND SOLID CASH FLOW, TO HIRE AND PAY FOR THE ENGINEERS AND PROGRAMMERS NEEDED TO FIX AND IMPLEMENT ALL THOSE THINGS YOU WANT TO BE FIXED.

So it would be a COMPLETE waste of ressources for them to try and fix those things right now, which would translate, for you the customer, into a dead company and no hope ever of getting anything fixed.

It's a very delicate balance, that people like you, who obviously have no technical knowledge whatsoever and think everything related to programming is simple and can be fixed by just clicking a stupid button like you do every day on your dumb computer, seem absolutely incapable of grasping.

Is the system glitchy? YES. IT IS.

It's still totally usable. I can load mine up to 96% DSP use and leave it running for days and it's fine. It's been this way over 3 cards and 3 completely different computer systems. I've learned to work around the few glitches, and it doesn't affect my workflow.

If you can't use this stuff, you are pretty much useless, ESPECIALLY considering that there's plenty of people on this board, those you like to call fanatics, that will do everything they can to help you (and anyone else) properly setup and use the system.

This is raw experience, and believe me, as much as I love this product and as much as I talk in favor of the company, I couldn't care LESS what product I use to get the job done!!! I'll use anything and everything under the sun to make music/sounds: rocks, sticks, bones, dead animal skins, drums, alien spaceships, whatever. That I get fanatical at ALL about this stuff speaks VOLUME in and of itself, even with all the stupid glitches!

At this point, they have CLEARLY stated and demonstrated that they have NOT given up upon the PCI cards/SFP platform. They still sell the cards, they still update the software a bit (HOWEVER SMALL AN UPDATE IT MIGHT BE), they put up a new website for it. OF COURSE, they are all marketing-orientated move, but could you please tell me how the f*ck do you expect them to actually make money to *pay their engineers and programmers* without some sort of cash flow??? Do you think they would bother with all that garbage if they planned to completely discontinue the product?

At least they are doing SOMETHING, instead of going the way of many audio companies these days and declaring bankruptcy, which would GARANTEE no more product development.

Don't want to wait??? Sell your cards.

Doesn't fit your way of working??? Sell your cards.

Too crippled?? Sell your cards.

Don't like the company's way of doing business??? Sell your cards!

Tired of getting told to sell your cards? WELL TOUGH SHIT, IT'S ALL YOU'RE GOING TO GET WITHOUT A LITTLE PATIENCE, besides me reminding you how much of a complete retard you are making of yourself, that is!

The fact that the whole "fanatics" and "ostracisation" rhetorics got pulled into this discussion shows, without a doubt!, that you are totally NOT acting and commenting on good faith. What the fuck! No one is dying because the fucking system doesn't run on fucking 64bit OSes, no one is being deprived of their basic rights because the fucking WDM drivers loop the buffer a few times! Fuck, get the fuck over yourself!!! (ooh I'm getting excited, I've dropped all tendancy to self-censor!)

Seriously, go walk around a bit in other countries and places, go meet your fellow humans who die of hunger and violence, who get raped, who risk life in prison for the merest mention of political discontentment or desire of change, who live all their lives in fear and poverty and silence and loneliness, AND THEN MAYBE YOU WILL REALIZE HOW FUCKING BLESSED YOU ARE TO HAVE ONLY STUPID COMPUTER AUDIO SHIT TO WORRY ABOUT! FUCK OFF YOU INSENSITIVE CLOD!!!!

Want to put some pressure on Creamware? Then WHY THE BLOATED RABBIT don't you just fucking call them up using a totally standard and still-widely-used-phone or email them, their contact information is printed in the manual that you have obviously never opened nor read. THEN you can explain them what you want, give them suggestions, ask to talk to an engineer a bit so that he can explain to you what they are working on, what is do-able, what isn't (VST is complete shit for hardware integration but "*whine* I want all my plugins in one place *cry*"), where they are heading, what's planned, what's in the works, and whatever else you might want to talk about, directly!

Whining about it here on a public forum is seriously useless! What kind of reaction do you expect?"Oh, you are right, Creamware sucks. The lack of proper 64bit support really is killing my workflow!" Calling people "fanatics" just because of differing opinions is seriously bogus!

You're right. I should just accept that Creamware is no longer in a position to deliver updates.

I have a masters degree in software development so I'm not as ignorant about the issues involved as you suggest. But this is as much about marketing and management, but let's not go there.

And I never said the system was unusable. It's precisely because it is a great system that I've stuck with it so long.

I just think CW could have done more, not just to keep whiners like me happy, but to maintain confidence in the product's future to encourage 3rd-parties and new customers. But unless they're sitting on a big secret, I guess it's too late.

OK. You've heard it all before.
I'll shut up now.

Life really is a dream! And we are the dreamers!

Probably nothing of this is totally real, I think we all would be tremendously surprised if members of Creamware themselves would tell us what they think about the situation, and would also tell us “their” real story behind the splendid speculations of both parts, those against and in favour… Something is sure… this thread would stop and a new one would be opened.
