There's also a lot of great information here dave - Advanced Programming Techniques for Modular Synthesizers. It's examples are Nord modular based patches, but many of the programming techniques discussed are transferable to other modular systems, so it's a very useful resource for Scope modular users.

BTW connecting the Absolute Val Monitor (Flexor) to the Envelope output lets you see the action of the envelope in realtime by looking at the vertical line

I think we just have to do a track that uses the modular patch, not solely using it afaik, although it might be fun to try!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first lesson and found it really informative already. I was wondering though about the audio quality and whether we're on the free version of dimdim, or the pro version. It doesn't look like it costs too much to upgrade (https://estore.dimdim.com/user/compare? ... SignupUser), so might be worth us adding to the fee? Obviously if we're already on the pro version, we'll just have to get used to the odd pop and crackle here or there!

Anyway, looking forward to hearing your creations!

I may just practice building the different presets and then do a simple multitrack stem playing the different elements (flute solo over a pad, etc.)

Does the Waldorf osc from mod 4 still exhibit the silence bug from previous versions? The osc stays silent until you move the osc select jog wheel.

I got the recording of the lesson and it seems that at least some of the sound problems originate from scope's WDM drivers (the old drivers that sometimes work and sometimes don't), i upgraded to scope 5 and will test things further. when i tested with Dimdim earlier last week, it all seemed smooth. The 1 month dimdim trial is tuned on the pro account. so what we are using is the pro account. i will try to see if there are better competitors to dimdim, and see if we can get a nicer working connection before i start registering and paying for a service we don't know works 100% anyhow you will not have to add fees it is calculated in your fee anyhow, and once we find our "home" i will get a premium account.

anyhow, i have registered a new domain so we can concentrate the material in one place. the site is not finished yet (i just got it yesterday) but it already has some useful stuff

Weirdly, I was mucking about on the keyboard and got a couple of motifs that sounded a bit like that (chromatic twiddles with augmented 2nds e.g B C D# E F# G) - sort of hackneyed film music stuff when they show pictures of camels in the desert

Does anyone here have Synthmaker? I got it about 3 years ago cheap as a pre release 1.0 - around £50. Has a much better interface than Reaktor (which is a nightmare IMHO). Problem was the tutorials were virtually non-existent so I gave up pretty quickly and it's just sitting there on my hard drive - occasionally it's updated but that's it. I recall some people were complaining the VSTs it made were a bit CPU heavy - that's probably less of a problem now
