For me, with scope 4, it has on the odd occasion loaded the icon next to the clock yet the routing window hasnt displayed. I used to have to crash out of it then reload until I figured out a workaround - it seems to have got confused thinking it has loaded correctly as the "show" option is greyed out when right clicking the icon. The "hide" option isnt greyed out though so I told it to hide - the show option then became available and when I clicked it, et voila - it displays and works fine.

Try that.

I never had problems with the 4.5 tray icon for years now, and V5 icon initially worked OK the first couple of days, and now is unusable.

I still have to delete Scope from resources and start it from the application directly.

there's probably something timing out during boot.

possibly backing up the Scope folder and removing all Scope entries and registry entries and reinstalling the software will help....you can use the backed up folders to restore the original configuration...

well its fast... in example, try adding a long delay or something very obvious (like rmx160 with time set to max) in an aux channel of the stm1632 mixer. feed an audio loop (or something else:) ) thru a channel, having the aux pot at 0. now click and hold the aux pot, and move mouse while trying to keep the pot at 0 (as in a diagonal movement downwards to the left), and hear your effect in all its glory :)

Its just a short burst, but its there.

Doh. i was trying it from the extreme left - nothing happens. Yes i get it now when i try it from the right, although theoretically if you already have it max right then anything in the 12 0'clock position would quieter anyways (if it was a volume knob).

Please send this bug report as i've already sent my long list off.

ok. in other words, each time you left click a knob to change its value (raise or decrease) it ALWAYS jumps instantly at position 12 o'clock. :(

it does not happen if you use the mouse wheel.
sliders are ok. round knobs have the problem

it does happen always with simple mouse movement.

For me only happens at max, going to 12 o'clock. Minimum (left) is fine for mouse click - which means no volume jumps. Also i notice that it only happens if i'm grabbing slighly above the pointer does it jump - if you get the pointer spot on it's fine.

Is your knob setting set for rotate or vertical movement of mouse?
Are you single-clicking on knobs and then using mousewheel?

Because I'm not getting the jumps.

pot settings: round one

click-and-hold pot, move mouse one pixel in either direction (as an example, have your pot at 0 value, then move the mouse in the same direction as the indicator, implying you want to keep it at zero, moving the mouse in a down-left direction). Its a fast reaction, so i suggest trying this with a very noticable Aux effect as written above.

no, but there are workarounds.

Use automation or a controller. that's why i never noticed, i never use mouse for control when playing live (hell, i dont play live even :) and never use mouse for control when recording ( i do record though :) ) its a bug, it should be fixed, but its not critical.

Tried V5 yesterday. My only interest are the new plugins. It's unbelievable great that the STW reverbs are included. The new compressor sounds great and I bet the new gate aswell (what would be a great fix, as I never liked scope-gates) and I'm really very impressed by the new EQ, just from a first listening. As one knows, I am very critical with EQs & am curious if I was mislead by my V5-is-cool-endorfin-level. Is that a sonic-core developement? What is it's quality described in words - or hints what'S it's basic principle, what makes it different.

I still have to delete Scope from resources and start it from the application directly.
After receiving my scope5 keys I wasn't able to load optimaster (scope5 asked for keys again and again...)
Yesterday I wanted to send an email to Ralf but checked once before posting a bug or begging
for new keys and: it worked ! Well, I didn't change anything... WEIRD...
After that, I decided to load optimaster into my startup project (as an Instert of MultifxS which is directly in the
routing window) and suddenly had the same probs like sirusbliss... fortunately I left my default project
untouched, so I was able to reboot scope5, load a "older" startup without optimaster and save it again as startup.
Now everything works fine again!
Hope that helps!
Janni

Ah, just forgot to mention: that cool waveform-feature of optimaster didn't work... no waveform visible...
Maybe that's a hint to the right direction of the bug...

this problem with the pots isn't really new, I noticed when I first made some devices with sdk and tried them out (knobs seem to reference center when you go to move them then jump back) then I noticed it with some of the stock devices too, if you use vertical movement instead of round everything should work fine, it should be fixed though. I posted on it in the sdk forum http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=24370 so it's not a new thing.

yea , sure. it's not a new thing.

but it's like we never had a new release.
i mean, where is the new sounds? new music?
what? the new effects? without presets?

7 years ago the whole thing of creamware was a miracle.
now it seems almost(exactly) the same.

Its an RC. Presets for all the new reverbs are available.
