I've just bought a Powersampler card second hand and I want to link it to my Pulsar2. I dont have the S/TDM cable yet but I was wondering if I need to register the Powersampler to my on name for everthing to work together.

Cheers

you still need an STDM cable.
as for registration it is best that the hardware is added to your name,
Creamware does not charge for this service.

technically there's no need to register - it will be found automatically and be integrated in your setup.
But as mentioned it's highly advisable - the card wouldn't run independently and it may become difficult to resell it one day.

Btw there's a 50% chance the new board will be interpreted as 'master' if found earlier in the boot sequence than your current card.

It then will complain about registering etc.
If this happens you can set the board sequence in the cset.ini file.

afaik the S/TDM cable prevents that the system communicates it's internal stuff via the PCI bus...

cheers, Tom
