I am considering getting one of these so that I can switch between 2 soundcards and between speakers and headphones, has anyone used one?
What do you think of the product?
Samson make budget items, this seems to be the only thing of its type on the market but I would initially be wary due to brand?
Would it the quality of degrade of an expensive soundcard and speakers?
Anyone use a Samson C-Control?
I've not been impressed with the build quality of Samson stuff, nor have I read great things about it on other forums. However I don't know of anything else in that price range either.
Most of the other products I'm aware of offer a lot more features and cost significantly more:

if ur on a budget u might consider this one

i would stay clear of the samson tho, I was also planning to buy one but they seem to degrade the sound quality especialy everything in the high freq range imo
I'm still having a hard time making a choice between the big knob and the centralstation

Thanks for the heads up on the M-Patch, I would probably go for the Big Knob but right now I can't afford it. If c-control degrades signal it would be stupid to put it between decent equipment, only problem is that I live in England, so if anyone knows how I can get an M-Patch in England, please mention it as I have only had sucess buying American items from eBay before as I don't think the big retailers will ship to UK...

The M-Patch arrived today (lucky to find a retailer for it in England) and I must say that it is an excellent piece of kit - as far as I can tell there is no colouration of sound at all. It is 1/2 rack and passive, it has 2 inputs, mute, independent volume controls for each input, can resolve the audio to mono and a choice of 2 outputs. It has balanced connections and also comes with unbalanced adapters... there is no noise when switching and the entire units feels solid and looks quite nice too (although I find teal perhaps a little guady)
