I have an oppurtunity to pick up a Giga-Byte GA8PE667 ULTRA2 REV 1.2 motherboard (intel i845 chipset) for free, the studio I work at is upgrading (to dual 3.06 Xeon on ASUS PC-DL board with 1 GB 333MHz DDR RAM) and I can have the old board.

Anyone know why I shouldn't try to use this board with Scope?

To me, free is meaningless if it will cause me headaches.

I thought I would pair it up with a 2.4 GHz processor and a GB of RAM.

Please tell me if this is mistake.

Gigabyte make pretty solid, reliable MOBOs, IMO.
