Hi

I have more or less decided to buy myself a laptop, because it will open a lot of interesting opportunities for me (like installing my Creamware-pc in a dedicated studio fulltime  ), plus I'll need a laptop for my thesis and music etc....

I'm talking about this one:

Acer Aspire 1681WLMi
Pentium M 1.5 Ghz (Mobile Intel® Centrino™ Technology)
Intel® 855GME chipset with 400MHz FSB
512 Mb DDR (333mhz)
40 GB HDD
Intergrated DVD-RW/CD-RW combo drive
Integrated Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 BG network
15.4" WXGA TFT LCD with 1280 × 800
ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9700, with 64 MB of external DDR
60 W Li-ion battery pack
364 (W) x 279 (D) x 33.9/38.9 (H) mm
2.95 kg* (6.48 lbs.)

Price 10000 DKR/ 1300 EUR / 1500 USD

So what do you think, is this a good buy both tech-wise and money-wise?

Thomas

I went and checked out the laptop. Everything seemed fine except the display, which had "pale" colours and not too good view-angles.... a shame really.... I'm not really comfortable with my decision not to buy...
