Sonic Timeworks : Pre release of Ambience A100
Great job Warp69! This one sounds amazing, just like the P100 I just purchased. Any ETA on the full release of this one, I already imagine quite a few uses for it. Also, is random hall scheduled to be released next? I think with just these 3 algorithms and some good impulses I will have all of the reverbs I could want. Also, slightly offtopic, but are you planning other reverb simulations? I know you are already doing the Lexicon PCM sound well, but something like a 480L or 224 would be *awesome* for the 3d thick lush verbs.
Hey bbrian,
Sorry, I dont have any release date for the A100 yet, the next device for release will be the ChorusDelay.
Thats correct, the release after the A100 will be a hall reverb. I might release an additional device for the A100, just like P100 + ChorusDelay. This is NOT a promise. And no, I dont know what kind of effect it will be.
Well, dont worry - you want more than those three algorithms
Impulses will never sound like the original algorithms for several reasons and besides that, most of them is mono->stereo and bad recorded.
Cheers

Hey Warp....
I'm urging you once again to release the ambience program!!!! I think one reason why you're not selling enough of the P100 is that you're not charging enough. People doubt that it's as good as it realy is. I say charge $400US for both! If Mano wants me to, I'd be happy to do a review or give quotes for his site. We need your producs!!

Anyway that's sunday's scool microeconomics...sorry if I say that

The point is that things have to be known.
I'm spreading the info on the other sites.
You don't imagine how many CWA customers almost never surf the web. The fact that the tool is on CWA site is good, but it must be reviewed. So, well known people like Craig Anderton and all those like him that write on specialized reviews, moderate forums and have the Scope system of wich they had enthousiastic opinions, should receive a promotional plug for free.
Let's be clear...giving a plug for free has 0 costs for the developer, but can grant a favourable mention or a review, and this is a killer investment.
On the other side, an affordable price has a multiplicator effect on sales for the CWA customer base, giving much more gains than a very high price.
Then consider that the smart move has been to release single algos, but when they will be 6 or 7, the plug will have a hi end price too. The good thing is that like this, any kid with the card that knows about it will buy a couple of algos for sure.

One little detail that bothers me very often : only one page screenshot.
Show them all to give a glimpse of the amount of tweaks possible and short blah-blah of ranges / LFO speed / waveforms ... etc
And how it compares ( favorably ) to expensive HW units or other verbs ... like DeVice has done with the ISON eq.
Put a lenghty dry-wet high encoded mp3 with plenty of presets exposed, that should wake up the sales also ... because so far the people that haven't tried the demo or can't since they have not enough power or no CW card have just the sound of marketing.
A killer sound demo should send real shockwaves beyond our shores.
For now, it's just too low profile ( IHMO ) at SonicTimeWorks.
I'am also for the current price and I'am in for whatever you'll throw at us.

I HAVE bought STW Mastering Comp and Profit 5 yesterday - I could easily afford to sign up at DADEV for a 69 Euro all-inclusive deal...
guess what ? I'm not even touched by the offer.
I just can't help to mentally jump between sellout, can't take it serious, and interesting business-model.
But I do not have the feeling to get something cool for my money.
Time to face the fact that there are (probably) ten thousand professional Scope users out there, who don't even know about the existence of this planetZ
cheers, Tom

I agree with decimator. Pics of all 3 screens may better show off what this verb is capable of. And a few small dry/wet mp3s to demonstrate the pristine quality...
Maybe I am too optimistic, but I would not be suprised if the sales of P100 double in the next 6 months. Word is spreading around, and now that it is on CWA's page, non net-savvy SFP users (aka those who don't know of planetz) will probably notice it.
