I have used TripleDAT quite a bit lately, but unfortunately my Tripleboard II just died. Creamware can't fix them. So, my only recourse is to try to find a used one. I don't really have an option because I must use an ISA socked computer for this application. Anybody got a Tripleboard II for sale?

I have a tripleboard, but I'm not sure if it is a tripleboardII? I'm not sure what that is,or if that is what I have.I also have a MoBo with ISA slots.I will sell both,or just the tripleboard. If interested email me at rrivers1@tampabay.rr.com.

I've tried with EBAY for two months. A few years ago, they were all over the place.
To dickster, my impression is that most Tripleboards sold in the USA were of the "II" variety. I am not sure what the difference was, but can recheck my literature and also, send a JPG photo to clear things up. I think that Optical ins and outs may be on of the clues. Anyway, I don't think the non-II variety will support Osiris. That is a must for me.

Thanks for the info. I have heard about the new card and application. However, it won't plug into the ISA slot. This computer has lot's of old and very powerful programs that still haven't been improved.
Add to that the fact that Creamware saw fit not to back up their ancient products of only a few years back. I'd had to spend big bucks on their new stuff and be left high and dry as I am now.

well, the new card would extend the useability of all those programs a little further. a newer mobo(bx or 815 chipset?) with a pci slot would be very cheap, still run your present hard and software and run the current triple (out very soon) which might allow you to use some of those programs that do things the old ones couldn't
(not to mention add some cool functionality to your studio via sfp).
really though, sorry about your loss, i'm sure you can find one for sale. anyone?

Thanks garyb, but that won't work. I've played with these old programs and old hardware. When they want 95, they don't want 98 and surely not XT. I've got to have an multi ISA slot computer that takes long boards. That means old IBM APTIVAs for the most part. Then it's gotta be slow. Yes slow, some old DSP cards go bannanas over 166 MHz. Even the old CDR mastering software won't work with the new operating systems. Hence, gotta get a TripleBoard.
Unfortunately I have been told that the new tripledat will not include firewalkers or osiris. I don't know why ,but it could be a copyright thing. Thats how they lost the reverb in the plugin version. Also only the ISA version will have the "80bit" processing. All eqs, compression, ect. were 80bit processing. There is a difference. I AB eqs on original 3dat and pulsar. 3dat's eq definetly better. It is the only DAW that uses 80bit processing that I know of.You kind of wonder, which is better;24bit recording with 32bit effects processing,or 16bit with 80bit processing. CW achieved the 80bit, using the ISA slots somehow. I don't know why that can't be done with todays computers.I had always heard about the 80bit processing, but never saw it in any spec. sheet, until today I saw in an old 3dat brochure.CW"When doing calculations for signal processing the pentium processor in your PC is capable of handling a depth of 80-bits which results in ultra-fine mathematically accurate calculations to ensure the audio is not affected in any undesirable or destructive way." There is more info on this but this post is way too long already. Sorry! When can we have 80-bit processing again? Never? Ever?
it just could be that the library they once compiled for Triple isn't compatible with current developement systems anymore - a rather common fact, and by no way an exception.
Afaik those 80bits represent the 'extended precision datatype' (standard in every math lib) which may in fact have been used for certain calculations, but this doesn't mean that the complete processing is done with the same resolution.
On the other hand I found the hexachorus on Triple extremely good for native processing, even preferred it over the DSP version, but that could also be influenced by the better (imho) user interface of the first one
cheers, Tom

A few years back?? ISA cards disappeared AGES ago. I'll bet that NOBODY ON THIS PLANET supports their old ISA cards anymore. I certainly wouldn't expect CWA to. If you haven't yet moved on into the 21st century, I'm afraid that's your problem. I'm sorry, but that's the truth.Add to that the fact that Creamware saw fit not to back up their ancient products of only a few years back. I'd had to spend big bucks on their new stuff and be left high and dry as I am now.

CutmasterXP/tripledatXP 32bit audio recorder/editor for any DSP card is about to be released.
When ISA Slots were phased out so the chances for CWA to support the software cards.
software at that time could no longer be updated as new mainbords don't have ISA in them.
Now the chance to upgrade/update to the upcoming version is becoming real
tripledat XP for the DSP card is simply around the corner. It will have recording (24 tracks physical and virtual) editing and CD burning. and I am certain that CWA took "bob barker" advice and will make the price right for its new triple users and old existing users.
