I'm a newbie here and if some of you are interrested in having an ear on my audio work, I put a link to my website (if we can call a single HTML page a 'site' ) here with 4 tracks of mine to download.

This is electronic/psychedelic trance.
Feel free to download, listen, throw to recycle bin  and put comments here !

site : http://perso.wanadoo.fr/psychopat
tracks:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/psychopat/psych ... n_Gang.mp3
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/psychopat/psych ... _limit.mp3
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/psychopat/psych ... voyage.mp3
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/psychopat/psychoPat_-_Shout.mp3

These tracks has been produced under :
- PIII 500/FruityLoops
- pulsarII card
- roland mc-505

Note: These tracks do not make extreme use of pulsar possibility (only basic mixing with fx + synth with fx and the ability to record ASIO-audio + CW audio + analog_in at the same time for mixdown )
I'm currently exploring more in depth Pulsar features (STS, synths, XTC mode) for
Cubase VST integration.

Thanx for your time

I can't say that I'm into Psy-Trance, but these examples does show qualities that are not often displayed in amature trance-music as far as I know.

Great mixes and lots of variations (within it's own limits  ) - Yes I can honestly say I turned up the volume to get the full impact of it!

Now I'm looking forward to hear what you can squeeze out of your Pulsar-system.

Cheers!

Superb!

I have only listened to Neurovoyage so far but that track is storming - right up my street.

What was used for your vocoder sounding synth to give it its 'human' sounding a e o u's?

Look forward to hearing more

Thank you very much Image

I'm aware of some weakness in overall loudness/volume and that my mixdowns lacks some punch in medium and some more presence.
I'm currently updating my composing setup to increase the overall production quality.
,using more from the SFP platform too

mgranger, to answer you, this synth sound is coming out of the mc-505 using quite extreme settings in Lo-Fi effect Image

I will let you know here, as soon as I get some more out..... Image

Yep, I'd agree with Petal for the most part.
My only criticism would be that they sounded very similar one after the other, but that is symptomatic of the genre to an extent.
I think if I'd listened to each one a week apart, I would've enjoyed all of them, but listening to them en bloc became a bit samey and repetitive.

This is very far from what I listen to. I listened to "Ko Fan Gang" and found it to be very good  I have nothing to compare it to, but it kept me interested for as long as it lasted. Nice drive. Right now I'm listening to "Neurovoyage" and my head is beginning to get tired  but I'll give another try in a couple of days

Ah yes, this is very nice indeed. I really dig Goa/Psytrance from time to time, but as the others have said, it sometimes tends to all sound alike a bit. But I'm a sucker for those rolling basslines you know

Anyway, as far as style goes, this is done perfectly with all the right elements of melodies, acid synths, bass and percussion. Nice work!

Hi psychoPat,

Quiet interresting tracks.
My preferred track is Ko-Fan-Gang.

I'm a goa-freak and I try to create some suntrance. I made a demo with title 'The Architect' under the trance genre.

I have a question especially concerning your kick: how can you get such a dry and clear kick very present in the mix?

If you could listen to my track in order to give me hint on what I'm doing wrong.

My kick is produced using EDS16i.

What do you use?

Thanks a lot,

Bluemystic

You certainly did your homework because this nearly fits in exactly with the best psychedelic/goa trance I have listened to. Most of it seems to be in the upper range and I hear a space for some bass sounds. I wonder if you are looking for anyone to collaborate with. Hallucinogen is the perfect group.
