Hi everybody!
I own an AMD 3200+ on an ASUS M/B, 5x 512 DDR Ram, 2x 120 GB Seagate SATA HDD's on RAID 0 array,nVidia 5700 256MB graphic card with WinXP Pro English installed. So far so good.

The BIOS version originally installed was version 1009.I tried to update it to 1011 via the AWDFlash utility, but eversince, the WinXP Pro won't start  ,though the POST procedure completes normally.

Even worse, the restoration of the old bios is NOT possible.
What can I do?Should I reinstall the OS?
Please help me!
Thanx everybody!

all you can do is to ask your dealer if he can help with a new flash unit, that is the chip of the mobo that is labelled AWARD or AMI. DO NOT install new OS! Most probably it will be messed. If you cannot restore, your BIOS definitely is damaged. Damaged BIOS-> damaged OS. It is that easy.

Hi again!
I thankfully solved the problem with a little help from my colleagues!

Since I couldn't restore the original BIOS, I thought it would be a good idea to replace it!
So,I downloaded from a site the BIOS file the mobo was shipped with, flashed the Eprom again and -BOOM- the computer worked just fine!!!

All my data ware intact, including the OS!
Maybe I just got lucky! But let others know that this is an option too!
Thax again for your time!
