I know all about the Pentium/Athlon discussion, so please leave that out

Thing is, as i am moving my music gear to a new location (yey, i got myself a studio  ), I need to build a second PC for audio, and it will be based on the AMD Athlon.

I have been using my 2 Luna's with an ASUS nForce card, and it has worked flawless. Now, i wrote an email to my favourite computerparts seller regarding my needs, i said i needed a mobo which supported Dual channel ram, but with as little extra "built-in stash" (VGA card etc, to minimize risk of IRQ conflicts etc.) as possible. He suggested the ABIT NF7 rev.2.0, see link above. A bonus for me is that the agp port has good space to pci-port 1 so i can use my rib-mounted gfx card and still use pci-port 1.

So my question is, has anyone any experience with this card? I try to stay away from all deluxe-models, so it seems fitting.

Can't recommend this one.. I bought an NF7 (I'm pretty sure it was the rev.2) late last year at work, and discovered that, because of all manner of stupid audio headers and capacitors near the PCI slots, there were only 2 slots which were possible to fill with Creamware cards (the ADAT ports were clashing with the offending motherboard components when attempting to use any other slot), and these slots were hardwired to the HD controller and the AGP. Resulting performance was pretty bad.
