Is anyone interested in using their existing or future Logic/Mackie controller to control the mixers, efx, synths etc. in Scope?
At the moment, the Mackie universal (arguably the most affordable fully featured controller)only supports a bunch of sequencers and has no stand alone midi functionality.
My idea is for a module that would let the user choose the input device and the output device and convert accordingly so that any input device (mackie control, houston, motor mix etc.) can control any internal/external midi or output device like mixers, sequencers, samplers etc?
It can be done if there is desire...

there are many problems for midification in CW plugs !!!
we only have 127 ctrlr # avaible ...
in fact, with CW plugs, :
- ctrlr #0 on midi chan 1 is the same as ctrlr #0 on midi chan 2 ....
that is the same as ctrlr #0 on midi chan 3 ....
that is the same as ctrlr #0 on midi chan 4 ....
etc ...
CW midi implementation has this limitation ...
so that, all midi hardware control surface work on several midi channel ...
ie for volumes :
chan 1 vol ctrl is #7 on midi chan 1
chan 1 vol ctrl is #7 on midi chan 2
chan 1 vol ctrl is #7 on midi chan 3 ... etc
for a CW midification, no way ...
but there is a very fantastic little software named MIDI OX (www.midiox.com) that is able to convert midi data ... every kind of data ... ctrlr, midi chan, note on > ctrlr ...
it is a must have tool and it's free
