Hi everyone. First post here for me
I am completely stuck. I have done all recomended stuff in Cubase forums regarding emulated ports etc etc. Tried every configuration possible and my played in midi notes to CubaseSX2 still are ahead of time(its not my playing!).
I am using Luna2 card and its midi ports and really need to solve this Asap. Apart from this everything is solid on my DAW. I would really appreciate any help here as I am stuck. Thanks in advance

Hello & welcome.
I had this problem with XP in ACPI mode.....drove me crazy for a while. I now run XP in Standard PC mode and find everything's fine....bit of a headache really because changing over means almost starting again, but on my system it has really been worthwhile.....the whole thing is so much more reliable....tight timing; no pops/crackles etc.

thanks Plato, But i fresh installed my winXP in Standard PC mode when i set up my DAW, Never had problems with pops or crackles either ( i have had my creamware card for a few years now, just posting on PLanetz for first time). my system is stripped out and optimised with only music apps.
I am very soon installing new intel 875p mobo and P43.2 GHZ so will start again with a new system. that hopefully will see the end of the midi problem.......hopefully.

thank you for your replies. The midi drivers I am using are non emulated Creamware ins and outs within cubase SX. I mainly use XTC mode (works really well and I like it) but it also happens in normal scope fusion mode. I will hold out for a solution, I want to get to the bottom of this before I upgrade my system. All my mobo/windows drivers are up to date etc. I can still get my work done with this but its a bit annoying.
I may be wrong! but give it a try:
"In DirectMusic Setup the option "Use System Time" is present now.Use this option if following problem occurs: recorded MIDI notes get placed too early or too on the MIDI track."
??? might help
