Perhaps you should take the time to read Samplaire's post - I find this exercise aids understanding.GuruDooDoo wrote:
it would be funny? destroy anyone's post who disagree lets try it
He was talking about moving innapropriate posts/threads to a more appropriate forum - there's no mention of destroying anything.
Lastly, sankirtana is about the congregational chanting of God's names, not typing them on a computer keyboard and posting them on public forums.
Any true follower of Krishna would find your posts rather insulting - people should respect each other's beliefs, regardless of their own.

He won't survive #pulsarmusic for longer than 15 minutes.

OT or nOT? Last month the Vlaams Blok, a political party in Belgium, was condamned in court to propagate separatism, racism, intolerance and hate against minorities. The party's program was found illegal, needles to say how it was food for discussion. The judge clearly stated there is limits to freedom of speech, for example when the speech propagates racism or hate.
The verdict is not definitive, Vlaams Blok will fight procedure errors now, and they're going to the elections with Freedom Of Speech slogans. The elections in june is probably the last time they can participate in their current form, next time the party will need a serious revision.
But yea, I know what kind of channels you're talking about, siberiansun. Just wanted to let you know IRC isn't always that bad

Man Gary you do it again and again. I write a thousand words, and then you put it so much better than me in just one line.On 2004-05-11 14:33, garyb wrote:

Also Samplair took up the house analogy. I wanted to do that too, when I came back here today. This forum is - IMO - like John inviting us into his home. This is his place. He spends a lot of time and energy keeping this up thru better and worse. We should pay him respect, when we visit his house. John has written in the registration contract, that we should not write hatefully or harassing. We should respect that. If someone comes to my house and acts like s***, then I would show that person out the door. I think John is acting very tolerant, but I could imagine, that it still annoys him. I sometimes wish, that John would take the tough step and track trolls to tell their ISPs, what they are doing.
Being annonymous sometimes makes people like s***
Another point of view could be, that this site is actually the living room of several people, who come here everyday with constructive intensions...
Information for new readers: A forum member named Braincell is known for spreading lies and malicious information without even knowing the basics of, what he is talking about. If noone responds to him, it is because he is ignored.

glad you saw the ironyJust wanted to let you know IRC isn't always that badPlanetz being a great place, #pulsarmusic is the cherry on the cake for me.

and yes, there are a whole bunch of useful and educational rooms @ mIRC.
it's the other rooms, such as #idiot or #painintheass that i though might be useful and appealing to DogDoo.

Of course it still annoys me! But if I start banning everyone that annoys me, I'll soon have no friends leftOn 2004-05-12 11:25, Immanuel wrote:

And there's no point in tracking trolls to their ISP's. The ISP could care less-- no law has been broken here. These guys are just annoyances, not criminals.
