No GUI with Insert Effects

Hi,

can someone try this for me?
Open Cubase SX2 and put one of these Delay Effects as an insert in an Audio Channel:
Delay LCR LS,
Delay LCR S,
Delay LM,
Delay LS,
Dual Delay LS,
Multitap M,
Multitap S

I don't get a GUI when I open them. There are even more plugins like "Overdrive M". Of course there is no effect either. No GUI and no effect.

Hi Hanzen
You probably haven't installed your plugins to the the correct folder or you need to press the 'update' button in the Plugin information window or you need to tick the lefthand column in the plugin information window to enable the plugin.

Yo Kenf,

thanks for reply. I installed the *.dll files in my vstplugins folder. But after searching through the SFP Folder I recognized that the installer didn't install the *.def files correctly. Some *.def files are simply missing...but the plugins appear in Cubase SX2.

Then I built in one of my Pulsar cards in my brothers PC...just to see what happens. And guess what...it is the same. Some *.def files are not installed correctly...or the pathes are not correct. Therefore Cubase SX tries to open the plugins...in an empty window.

Now I copied the *.def files manually...on my brothers and my PC. Now it works. Must be up to the Creamware installer somehow.

But works now.

Hey Hanzen,

I just tried these effects in XTC, didn't work.
Then I did what you did, and it did. Work.
Life is so easy sometimes..

ah, I see...I am not the only one

You can even copy the whole "scope/devices/effects" folder to "scope/devicesXTC/effects". Afterwards all plugins are available. Took me one and a half hour to find out

But there is another thing which is odd. During installation the Scope installer creates a folder named "xSource". When I choose that folder as an additional vstplugins folder Cubase doesn't find the mentioned Delays Plugins...they are simply missing. But when I choose "xSource/XTC" all plugins appear in Cubase...including all delays.

I will mail Creamware to let them know this bug!

I think it's a known issue, you should clear that SourceX folder during SP installation (on the XTC page), and install the XTC files in only one folder.
