MIDI Device To stabilize the Clock between the VST host and

I would be really appreciated if somewone could constuct such a plugin so that i can use the BPM of the Hostsequencer synced with the several plugins from CW as sort of a "MIDI-Stabilizer" would that be possible or even exist something like that

That would be great! Like something in pocket film cameras!
Yeah, this would be great to have a sabilized clock (more or less) because some arpeggiator or step sequencer parts NEED to be tight in time

I'm still wondering why these things can't keep with the sequencer's clock.. can someone remind me why they couldn't?

It's midi problem. I once tried to sync my computer sequencer to my Korg EA1 clock (people say HW sequencers have more stable clock) but my computer received a "more or less" clock (for instance once it was 120.1 and in a while it was 119.9 etc.) which of course was usless in my loop world

So I think it's just midi.

We'd all be so old by the time people come up with a new MIDI standard that actually works....

It's a miracle they agreed on the first standard. It really needs to be updated in many ways. I was thinking for hardware one cable should carry MIDI and Audio in and out, or better yet be wireless. The new wireless midi/audio standard!

I really think yamaha MLAN is the near future of upgrading the MIDI/AUDIO I/Os on instruments. But for it to be great more companies should implement it. May be done even wireless maybe, but I think there is some signal lost in the process

Yeh.. The midi/audio thing can all be done with USB and Firewire cabling... This is becoming pretty prominent in the midi controller market nowadays. I think its a good thing, but I hope they still keep old-school midi cabling in the loop for the next 5 years or more

It's difficult in the world of every-company-wants-its-own-standard to make an agreement. Look at the tv world - the high definition tv is on the table since at least 15 years and nothing really revolutionary happened to the world. The same was with VHS - there were more interesting options in the past like home Beta or Video2000. Why the worst of the 3 won? Because JVC gave the licence for free to the people. But it doesn't mean JVC won. Like IBM and its PC. How many PCs do they sell? I think there are companies that sell larger amounts of PCs although IBM invented it. That's Microsoft won because every PC needs DOS or Windows.

IBM actually recently sold its PC division to a Japanese PC maker that's relatively unknown as a brand name.
