Why a new layout?

I don't mind the new billiard ball logo but I don't like the colour.
I like the look of the logo as it appears on the background in the routing window. The dot is actually transparent and the ball uses a more conservative colour which looks way better IMO.

One of these would be better.

Getting rid of the yellow icon is easy.
just replace it.
