aux bus/reverb question

i am using the 24/48 mixer native to SFP 3.1C

when i bus in a reverb using the aux bus, i.e. out of aux 1, into the reverb (L&R), and out of the reverb into RT1 (L&R), i am getting a phasing type of effect and it sounds like crap.

i can also hear this when i buss in other effects, but it is most noticeable with reverb.

what have i missed?

In the reverb surface - turn the knob "dry" to 0 and "wet" to the maximum
