external PCI slots?

I use a Magma CB2 with 2 Pulsar2's and it works great (Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop). The type of laptop is very important, I don't recommend anything without a TI cardbus controller.

Could it be a problem that the the PCI bus only provides 33Mhz?
