Some benefit more, some less and one can't do it "right" to everyone's special circumstances. At least all are winners because CWA is back on course.

On the other hand if You buy a recent computer you can imagine what it will be worth after just one year. And I don't think it is good to look at the amount of money spent rather than what one has done or achieved with the stuff bought within that time. I think that is what finally counts.

Amen to that! I've also bought quite a few plugin's seperately but not re-gretting because they got the job done at the time.
Free software upgrades from Vers 1 - 4 is pretty good in this day and age anyway.

I still don't see the Mix 'n' Master or synth packs would now be included in the standard SFP 4.0 software "project" version. I still read this as bundles included with new cards purchased. Can this be clarified if it hasn't already? Ta.

This is a quote from the new release notes for SFP4:

"The setup will ask you to select your software package (e.g., home, project Mix´n´Master, project Synth´n´Sampler, professional)."

Also, check this quote:

I've never feld so Castrated in my whole Life...

I tried 2 kill myself rubbing the SFP CD over my venes... no Chance... ;(

Also the guy from Creamware told me the SFP 4.0 Software is checking the Board(s) and then you have to send them a mail with the "from the installer generated code or something" so you get new KEYS... i hope i understood him right.. .

So... any Ideas ?!?! What can a nice CaBaMaN do for the Nice PlanetZ Forum People !??!

Love 2U all...

I finally start to believe, that the MM/SS packs are included in the SFP4 - and not just an add-on for new custommers.

I have a question: for those who have Scope Home, will they still be able to buy the individual plugins from the M&M/S&S packs?

Immanuel, yeah I saw the release notes from the other post. It still seems incredible though that existing users would have a choice of one of those packs with the vers 4.0 software upgrade!
Also I have colleagues who are still using pulsar 1 series hardware and didn't get the pro-pack so they don't have access to the stm2448 mixer even in sfp 3.1c. Are they suddenly going to be able to get the stm2448 in Vers 4 for free? That would be good for them.
It seems like they would be giving an incredible amount of stuff away for free. Maybe it's time for that to happen and patience will pay off for some! I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Interesting times regardless!

I *really* hope it's planned : exposure of all devices on the platform + a database like Steikenleiter because maybe newcomers won't click everywhere.

If " as a newcomer " I don't click everywhere, I'll leave thinking : they have no guitar amps, not a lot of compressors ... etc, etc.

Wrong !!!! well you have to click and click to browse the various sites of third parties, on the other hand if you sort by type and offer more mini GUIs + links like you've started, newcomers will be impressed by the variety not to mention more and more freebies to pop up in the next months / year due to the opening of the SDK.

CWA should be the mothership, showdown for all devices.

Concerning the SDK and the NDA, will that mean you'll remain totally vague about its content : atoms, how to build a simple device ? I'am interested but I would be somewhat a little pissed to buy a Scope SRB just to discover that I can't handle the complexity.

So without revealing secrets, I hope you'll be able to tell us more.

Agreed, it would be very good to have links to more of the 3rd party devices. Maybe not all, but at least those that have proven themselves in the Z-community: Celmo, Wavelength, Sonic Timeworks and D-Mute (probably some others I overlooked )
They all have great devices on par with CWA, Adern, Zarg etc...

to Fortune,

like I said I'm smiling allready I'm so glad CWA is back in buisness.
also I'm happy for pleople that bennefit from this.
still to me its unfair that people that were the best customers, people that bought Scope/sp, don't benefit from this deal at all.

again I'm not complaining but I find it something for CWA to consider!
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if CW made some additional offers to people who bought those plugin packs before a certain date (maybe one or two free plugins to choose from the shop?). It's really to early to tell right now but who knows...?

About 3rd parties on the CW site...

It looks to me like the only 3rd parties showing up presently are those who have deals in place to sell their devs through CW's shop. Many of the developers don't sell their devs through the CW shop (CW gets a small percentage) and so I'm guessing aren't listed as such. I did find this page: http://www.cwaudio.de/index.php?seite=freeplugs&lang=en (which still seems to be missing Timeworks, perhaps because they have no free plugins?)

Anyone remember "Software credits" from old CW shop. Did anyone get any credits? Does anyone know what it is?

Maybe it's the best case for old customers; People get with the SFP4 all the plugins, that new customers will. In addition, if you bought those packs beforehand, you'll get some credits, that gives you some discount on future purchases.

What an idea to keep customers! The more you buy the more you get discount.

Im just so madly happy that CW is back in the game !!!

I love my this platform. It is everything iv'e ever dreamed of !!!
And i have CW to thank. THANK YOU CW !!!

But i must say....i liked the old site better.
For me it is kind of "nostalgic". I mean....that was the page i browsed for months before i could buy my very first board.
CW please don't take this as a complaint from me. Im just sentimental.

The new site looks great !!!

No words to explain my joy that you're back "in the loop" CW !!!

I'm interested in an answer to this question, too. But let's wait for the release - if we know the answer right now it will not change our situation
BTW What's the difference between 2 users with 1 Pulsar card and 1 user with 2 Pulsar cards? I mean financial difference. None IMHO so, Andy, here's the answer I presume

No, no, I wouldn't be disappointed if I got "only" one package option - you don't check a gift-horse's teeth
