What program is the best 5.1 encodern to Pulsar II?
Or is there any good VST or DirectX plugins?

Soft Encode is good, and standalone, it is not sold no more by sonic foundry though, you just gotta find it somewhere else

Hi,

perhaps a simple surround encoder is possible?
Like the Matrix Encoder in Nuendo.
Here are some infos for a hardware:
http://www.kgw.tu-berlin.de/~wwwlogic/T ... coder.html

This would be very cool!!!

hi
marcuspocus, can you use files from Soft Encode
to burn 5.1 cd's (5.1 wave file)
We tried this, but my DVD player (an old NAD)
wouldn't play it.
Maybe we need to burn it to a DVD?
Have also tried Adobe Audition encoder,
but it is for the MS protocoll i guess. (mp3-surround)

Could be very impressive to play your own
songs on a desent 5.1 setup.

Else, there is Minnetonka standalone encoders

I think you you need to burn 5.1 encoded files to dvd.

Ya good idea for a CW device for 5.1 encoding.

well piddi, then i'm in for a surprise when i try another dvd player (i hope)

Audition has a lot of option for 5.1 encoding, but i think you need a soundbabber or something to play it -

arela, one easy way to check is to burn some regular audio on a cd and try to play it (normal cd mode, try copying a cd uve got). i know some elder NAD players have troubles with this, and the store u bought it from (i reckon it was hifi klubben:) told a friend of mine some OS update was supposed to fix this. didnt happen tho as far as i know, but u could ask them.

yes piddi, its hifi klubben stuff,
....and it didn't like my masterpiece
...can't really understand why i didn't try this before!
i'll ask them, but dvdplayer only wrote "check" befor spitting my homemade cd out.

And onomat, this was the promised www that led me to try this out, but so sadly ended with a "notsouseful dvdplayer"

One step furher could come, by building a new desktop for main use (my p2 450 seems to be tired from time to time)with dvd and a 5.1 card.
