BUT ... issues to be discussed later for me if I don't self terminate in a major ski crash !

I'am very glad CW will remain hardcore for sound quality and not diluted, hoping for a new era of openess and dialogs also !

I really feel better now !
As a mac user i was really concerned about creamware disappearing. Honestly with all this speculation i thought they'll abandon mac to concentrate at least on pc, and i was really sad imaging my set up without my beloved pulsar II.
My question is : which are the priorities now?

So, is that all ? Almost an anti-climax.

Like many others here I'd simply like to know: Where is CW-Audio heading ?

Does the new name mean a new direction or emphasis ? More emulated synths? More effects? Update to SFP4. Or will the primary effort be on Noah ? Or perhaps encouraging a much-increased third-party effort ? Or even revisiting the audio-processing end with a new TripleDAT or similar ?

I know you can't get specific, but some inkling of where the company is moving would be nice.

At the very least it'll give users *something* to say when faced with the inevitable "I heard CW is out of business".

good to see cw back on it's feet.

i'm also curious about cw audio's direction. Since resources may be limited at this stage, what services/products will be the main focus of R&D? SFP4? new plugins? Will there be any changes to how technical support is handled? I've noticed that many users have complained about the long delays in support. I too have experienced it a couple of times before.

Does CW Audio have any plans for R&D on a new next generation DSP audio card?

This is really great news, and surprising! I really thought creamware would of been at least bought out by someone else...wow!

I do agree with Spirit...I hope Frank can give just a little info on the future of creamware.

According to john cooper's original post, there were supposed to be some "bad news"?

Also, there is supposed to be Q&A with frank?

guess we have to wait and see....

AWESOME!!!! I was extremely worried for a while because nothing's been announced for months, and modern technology has moved on in several ways. I'm glad we finally know what's going on.

I must say your Number 1 priorty in the new company is: upgrade SFP to 3.3v PCI! An absolute must.

Number 2: The very latest SHARC chips! SFP's DSP power is starting to lag behind the competition, and with all the new wondeful synths that have come out recently (MiniMax, Six-String, Pro-One, etc.), there has to be massive power to back them up.

I'm really excited over the news, and I hope you guys can carry on successfully in the years to come! I can't wait to see what's in the works!

There was a post regarding staff entitlements being lost.

Can you give us some idea of the circumstances of the transition?

Was the debt unserviceable? How many cents in the dollar did creditors receive? Did staff lose entitlements?

If we hear it straight, we can understand/rebutt disgruntled posters.

If I remember correctly I believe the "bad news" was that he couldn't tell us anything at the time. So that isn't really bad at all.

couple of questions.

1. will Creamware Audio still have main focus on broadcast equipment, or is Creamware Audio a branch focusing on "audio" equipment? alas, is there a "Creamware Broadcast" branch?

2. how will u handle the frustration that has occured from some developers/musicians/distributors, regarding payment/payment/lack of keeping shipping dates (hence loss of money)?

3. u say hiring less ppl is a key factor. how about hiring the RIGHT ppl? former cw was a disaster marketing wise. too much based on word to mouth. please tell me u have hired real marketing people. or even outsourced that bit to a firm that really does know its possibilities

please dont do a rerun of the last feew years, frank

I agree completely. Your marketing in the past was so bad (at least in the U.S.) that nobody except Hans Zimmer even knew who you were. If they wanted a Prophet emulation, the only place to go was N.I. (Slight pause while I run to the toilet.)

So -- the new company has to focus on getting your name out to as many people as possible. Emphasize on the latest coolest technology. That's why you need to upgrade to the latest PCI specs/DSP chips etc. so that SFP becomes the hottest thing in the Pro Audio industry since digital recording. You have the plugs, they sound awesome. So now thousands of people should use them! SFP should become as legendary as Pro Tools.

I know this sounds difficult, and I'm sure it is. But the fact is that SFP is so amazing that it simply can no longer go unnoticed. Period.

The world is ruled by marketing. Remember that.

First: Congratulations

you have made a lot of people very happy with this announcement.

Second: put a lot of effort on the noah. that machine is so promising. The minimax is incredible. And to get you to the top of a lot of peoples list you really need to make the modular/flexor suite available for the noah. Then you have got a winner in my opinion. There is simply no match for such a synth. The only thing that comes close is the nord modular G2 (boy does this thing sells, due to marketing). But the G2 is very expensive and most importent.... It does not have the minimax

and lots of other quality synths.

This is great news. Thanks to Frank and co for providing us with such a fine product, I would expect some uniquely talented people are working on their team. What's next? A fender rhodes softsynth that actually sounds like the real thing? A Yamaha CS-80?

Is there any plan to make a sequencer / hard disk recording package? And is there any plan to make a Linux version?

Maybe it's not a realistic expectation. But if there was a combination of sequencer / embedded operating system package that meant the system was totally stable, I'd switch to that in a second over ms windows.
