Would anybody care to take the challenge of writing an AutoTune or Intonator equivalent for the SCOPE Fusion Platform?

Call it the PitchFinder if you will.

It doesn't need bells and whistles. For live sound, one only ever uses the chromatic scale so additional scales and tunings will be unnecesary. And a maximum bend of a couple of semitones will be adequate for all but the most extreme Karaoke sessions.

The only requirement will be that it needs to be fast. Near real-time. This will allow me to avoid the large host latency when patching an AutoTune plugin across the ASIO drivers. Not to mention not having to lug around the external hardware equivalents.

If you do this, you'll be my hero.

Yeah - would someone please invest hundreds of man hours into this product so the two of us can buy it?

Seriously though - I was planning on buying the Antares DirectX version for Sonar. Would you recommend it at all? Or what are your thoughts on the subject? Sounds like you have some version of it already.

We were discussing the very same thing in another thread. It would be nice if we could get Antares on board with an SFP version. Same thing for Line 6, BBE and all the other cool stuff out there.

It's hard to get a read on this sometimes. Why would a potential developer want to invest the time and resources to develop an SFP plug-in if only a handful of people express interest? In all the years that these types of questions have been posed here (or on the CW forum), I don't recall ever seeing some huge, gigantic, positive response. Typically, a few people express interest and then complain when they can't get it for free later on.

IMO it's possible with Flexor. I've been using allowed frequencies with Pitch2CV's output, but the big comparator and correction scheme didn't seem so easy after all.

Your post gave me some fresh courage to continue the patch

I can't imagine that being an easy device to tackle. Good luck and thanks for trying!

Autotune works fine in Sonar (once you've dealt with the PACE copy-protection crap), and if you've set your latency low enough (5.8ms or under would be fine), you can use it for live use. I never have, though.

I'm only interested in the product for recording (could have used it last night actually). What is that copy-protection reference all about? Is there some sort of convoluted system involved?
