I'm just trying to make a simple midi connection in the Pulsar 2's arrange window - I want to connect an external sequencer's midi out to the Pulsar's midi in and have this show up in Gigastudio (2.5400 running on Win XP). I can't understand the manual which I've read through several times - the few examples there see3m to only deal with routing midi from a sequencer running on the PC to Pulsar's synths. If someone could just send me a simple explanation, or a picture, I would be eternally grateful.

BTW, GStudio is working now with USB midi but Creamware midi doesn't work, even though GStudio offers it as an input, no signal comes through to GStudio

I haven't done this before, but I think that your external sequencer, once plugged into the Pulsar II Midi In, will be denoted by the driver named Pulsar 2 Midi A Source.

I sent you a picture with how I think it should work, but we might need to try a couple of things.

Just connect Pulsar2 MIDI A Source to Seq MIDI Dest1. The thing is, software (like sequencers or Giga) won't get any MIDI unless something is connected to Seq MIDI Dest module. What goes to Seq MIDI Dest is what goes to the Pulsar MIDI device you see when you setup your software.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I sent him a picture with the Midi Merger in it as well, so he can trigger devices with the external sequencer & Gigastudio.
