I saw that thread, and noticed that more than one of the ripped-off individuals paid by credit card. Sometimes, credit card companies have guarantees in place against fraudulent vendors, and the money can be recouped. The people in that thread need to contact their credit card companies regardless of their refund policy, because the banks holding those accounts will also help shut this guy down. If he loses the ability to take credit cards, he's dead meat and can at least be stopped from further ripping off musicians.
I don't really want to join that group since I have no Creamware products. But it seems that they are missing some obvious channels for assistance...can you post this information to that thread when you have an opportunity?
Best regards,
Bruce

i don't if you mean it litteraly or sarcasm is involved, but i assume it would be better to tell them the facts (payment without delivery of goods in return), rather than being jury yourself and say he's guilty (although it sure seems so).On 2003-09-03 23:55, Neutron wrote:
it would be a terrible thing if a bunch of people decided for some reson to email his ISP / hosing service and mention that he was using their service to commit fraud.

actually, borgs advice is pretty good.the law is not always concerned with justice.it's best to do things properly and avoid charges of harrassment or slander, even isf you are right.really, the credit card company is first!if as borg suggested that the provider be informed that payment was made and the goods were not delivered(the facts),the provider can make their own assessment.
.it's not what you say it's how you say it.

No way!!!
I just read this thread, and I know this guy!
He bought an EMU sampler from me last summer (2002) via PayPal and tried to use PayPal's chargeback features to rip me off, after paypal froze him because of other fraudulant accounts he had active. I got my money back via PayPal after 6 months of waiting. He apparently had multiple PayPal accounts via girlfriend and such and had other issues.
EDIT: The story is much longer, but he did the same thing to me: reassured me over the phone that it was paypal and not him doing it, then he would never follow up and talk to PayPal. I *still* have every scrap of email and such from that ordeal. It's the same Micheal Brown, same address.
EDIT 2: His email address at the time was Digitalplayer@hotmail.com
