Extern Stones is a kind of local Stonehenge here in the area, well not exactly because it's a natural group of sandstone rocks, but it's considered a spiritual place from prehistoric times on.
Possibly Chris had some revealation there

I frequently visit that area by bike to enjoy a couple of nice steep roads through the woods, just 20 miles from where I live.

At midsummer strange parties are going on there - half the people druids and half nazis.
From time to time a couple of nazis do us the favour to remove themselves from physical existance due to excessive drinking and forgetting that humans cannot fly - the rocks are about 30m high.

it's forbidden to (sport-)climb the rocks - that hurts...

cheers, Tom

voilà:
http://www.horn-badmeinberg.de/karten/anfahrt.html
at Horn-Bad Meinberg, the blue spot on the map
well, in Danmark those are probably even more rare than here, but the next rocks from there are 50 miles east (limestone) or north (sandstone). No big cities in that area, but lot's of landscape

cheers, Tom

Hmm, might be worth a hitch hike. Second ½ of august I took a 1 week workshop in south of France. Germany is so good for hitch hiking. In one day I went from north of Hamburg to Kehl (next to Strassburg). That is pretty good with my physical appearance - pictures comming soon - for real. And some people say Flexor is delayed
