Hello,

Just a question regarding RAID orIDE Secondary Primary. What is best to do? My motherboard is an ASUS P4P 800 Deluxe.I have two hard drives, one is an 80 GB and the other is a 200GB. Now the place that built my PC have put a RAID Controller because they argued that it was the best configuration. I wanted a standard IDE Primary/Secondary set-up because that is what I know. I discovered that should I ever need to do a reinstall of my system I have to load the RAID drivers via floppy and then will I be able to say format my drives or do a Ghost recovery. To me that seems so long winded and because it is unfamiliar territory for me, I feel nervous about it. The "standard" way for me is a lot easier. So if I ever feel like doing a reinstall I can without the fear that I may be getting it wrong. No doubt there are other issues involved too but I am not very technical and just don't know a lot of stuff regarding PCs. I just want to make music and not worry about unfamiliar territory.
Because if I get the shop to change things I need to give a valid reason that won't make me look foolish, ridiculous or irrational?. Or should I not worry about it and leave things as they are? Please help.

Thanks in Advance for your responses
