2496 I/O box

Hi!

If i'll have luna 2496 8/8 i/o box do i still need external mixer, or i can connect then synths directly fo this box, channel by channel and also apply on each channel in software ,effects (compressors, reverb..) and so on...
is with i/o box much better quality of sound and overall ?

yes, you can connect your stuff directly to the box.
Every input can virtually becabled to a channel of the mixer, and here you can put effects eq compression etc on it.
Just like in the real world.

The sound quality gives better result than the analog-in on the card, due to interference issues inside the computer.
The Luna convertors are pretty good, no need to worry.

Just a note, you can connect synths directly but microphones need preamps though.
