i agree, the reason for that has to be that planetz is a place you deliberately WANT to be a part of and therefore show a greater deal of respect for your fellow members.
And there aren't so many rude words.
whereas cw's open forum accepts junk posts from anyone. maybe not even cw customers.
what i mean is that the sense of "membership" is greater here at planetz.
greetings from member #1350 Andreas.

I haven't been over there in a while so I decided to take another peek. I was saddened to find that their forum is still painfully slow and is now starting to fill up with the same rude and annoying messages that were typical of their older forums. The more that things change, the more they stay the same.
Switching topics for a second, I was wondering something the other day. What do you suppose the response would be to developing PlanetZ beyond CW products? Would it make sense at all to expand this website to include forums for Sonar, Samplitude, Cubase, ProTools, etc.? The reason I thought about it was simple. This is such a cool place to go for help, information or to just hang out, it makes sense to expand it so that we'd have quick access to information about other platforms as well. Call it one stop shopping if you will. Well... it was just a thought.

I don't like the idea.
1) This is crack free area, witch is part of the background for the good atmosphere.
2) I.e. Samplitude has a very nice forum already (I closed my Samplitude forum for the same reason - to keep the efforts focused in one place).
3) Cross platform fora easily becomes A: "mine is better than yours" b: "no mine is better than yours". In theory it could be good, but often it isn't. There are other crossplatform fora out there (they just lack DSP-cards as seperate categories).
4) We know, what we have ... I wouldn't like to risk it.
If you are serious about this, I do think you should make a new thread though. But I am against the idea.

Information for new readers: A forum member named Braincell is known for spreading lies and malicious information without even knowing the basics of, what he is talking about. If noone responds to him, it is because he is ignored.
You're probably right. It was just a passing thought in my brain.
I find that as my business grows, I have less and less time for casual surfing. I've narrowed my internet viewing pleasure to a few select places such as PlanetZ because I know there will always be something of interest going on here. I also appreciate links to other websites of interest. Some funny, some strange but always worth looking at. Thanks to all to who contribute such stuff.
