These pages where originally written in collaboration with Simonazzi Federico's Alar Recording Studio, here in italy - http://www.alarrecordingstudio.com - Federico is a journalist and a reviewer and tests every month a lot of hardware and software. unfortuantely his site is not translated in english, yet...
