Hi, I already asked this question @ creamware-forum but this site seems to be down for the moment.
I´m planning to build a sampler based daw system with 3 gb ram.
Should I expect any problems or xp-releated performance issues with such an amount of ram?

All the best,
Andre

XP itself should be able to handle 4GB of RAM. You may be limited by the chipset/motherboard. I sugest you write an email to the manufacturer of the motherboard you have in mind - if you can not find the information in the manual.

You would have to use 1gb ram-modules, theese are known to be much slower than 512mb modules..

Much slower as a hardcore OCer sees it, or much slower as a general user sees it?
