Drivers,mixers old versions.

Does anyone think there is a difference in sound quality between different versions,their drivers and their modules?
If so,which one did they find the best?

For me, 3.1c is absolutely n°1. Stabile, improved devices, does what I want it to do. Previous version made me shiver from time to time, 3.1c roxx!!

Don't know about sound quality, but if you wanna go retro, you could try 1.2. For a long time it had the same status as 3.1c has now.
