Anyone out there using either internal or external firewire HDs out there? What's a good one? I can't seem to find any out there that are internal. My laptop is powerful enough to run what I need and I want to get a Magma 2PCI chassis to go along with it, but if I go that route, then my only PCMCIA slot is filled. With only USB 1.1 ports, I'll need to use the firewire kit on the dingus. I could use ATA instead, but it might be nice to be able to use the external firewire ports.

How many simultaneous tracks have you guys been able to get with firewire?

Thanks in advance,
Sam

Excuse me if this is a stupid question but what's a dingus?

Anyway, firewire drives are fine (30mb/s transfer should be enough for most projects).

Incidentally, the Magma CB2 has 2 drive bays which are usable if you install a HD controller card into the 3rd slot.
