What's wrong with the 845PE chipset that supports it as standard? I've got a Gigabyte 845PE-based motherboard and it run perfectly with CW boards and DDR333.

Cheers,

the 845pe supports ddr333 but not the 845e.
but i also heard rumours that 845e supports also ddr333 (unofficial).
so if anybody knows something about that please let me know.
thanks

Hi there,

Sorry, I thought your question was whether there was an Intel chipset supporting DDR333. I don't think the 845e motherboards even have 'unofficial' support for it, although you can use DDR333 chips running at DDR266, I think. 845g chipset motherboards (at least from Asus) do.
