i was wondering, wouldn't it be nice if someone made a little program that does all your windows (98,xp,2k, whatever) optimization tweaks for you?
that way you wouldn't have to spend so much time and research on how to optimize yur system for audio performance, but just run this little app that does in in a few seconds.
i know there are some tweaking helpers like "tweakxp" but then you still have to do every tweak and know what settings to choose.
just an idea...

A program to do it automatically would be good, but if you get a program like "ghost", once you tweak your system to perfection you can create an image on a cdrom. This way, if you ever have to re-install windows, it only takes about 15mins instead of a few hours to fully recover your system.

ah, ok
nice one, have to get one of those then
maybe there'e a possibility to make a backup of all the settings in windows rather than the whole os?
that way such 'config-images' could be made available for download and one techie's tweaking expertise could be easily applied to many pc's.
