Hi again,

I have updated the europa's demo file, which is now available from my website and from the PlanetZ' "Devices" page. The new demo features the updated GUI surface, a few optimizations and a redone Preset List. The "pings" have also been replaced by an occassional volume mute + the MIDI channel is limited to channel one.

I will be sending out the updated europa to all registered users, within the next couple of days.

Regards,

Stephen

Well I must say this new surface looks much more pleasing to the eye than the previous one. Only the odd "wooden" bar with the logo looks very out of place. I'd just stick the logo on there without the weird bar.

Anyway, the demo seems to behave a bit odd here. The occasional volume mute seems to happen so often that I get a sort of stuttering sound that cuts out randomly 2 times per second at least, instead of the 1 time every 20 second or so one would expect.

well... I don't want it to be too "usable" in this demo-state. just enough to be able to gauge the sound-quality, etc... it seemed quite alright to me and far less annoying than the "pings". hopefully even more people will try the demo out now.

btw, I have also just added four MP3-samples of the europa to my "shop" page, on my website (over on the right side of the page). these are simple little things that I played live, through only a MasterVerb, all else is europa only. the mods that can be heard on the demos are from modwheel and aftertouch control only, no overdubbed modulation, each done in a single pass, while played. i just wanted to show how expressive the synth can be. the playing is fairly wanky, but should still give an impression of what can be done.

Ok, so it's deliberate. I thought it was a bug!
