Well, it's really hard when there are 5 contestants, and there are 7 votes only. The others who caught on later(including me) didn't get any votes.

But who cares! We all had fun mingling with patch cables, and some people had a nice fist time patching expereince. I think the contest has served its main purpose.

So, instead of just saying who "won", I'm just going to post the votes I've got so far. If that makes you feel like voting, the please vote. I'll update the results.

Eliam II
Nestor I
Maket II
Paulmartin I
Michu I

So there it is. We actually have a tie for first place.. but that's only like 2 votes so it's really hard to say...

Anyone feel like voting?

And don't forget it was also great to download a pile of new tracks from the artists, and I mean artists, who took part.

Yes, thanks Ken for this neat idea! Creating with the mod was a total blast! Now I can't stop anymore to make patches and tweak them for countless hours! I even synthesized a virtual bird! Oh boy am-I tripin!!!

Be at peace.

Well, you're right Ken, it doesn't matter really. The only important thing is for you to nominate a couple of guys to build up the next one, that should be about the end of March. If not, you can alwasy do it yourself again bith Borg. What do you think? We need to keep going, this is the point...

I didn't "win" or even get a vote  but hey, it was fun doing all those paranoid remixes

I had an idea to start things off:

You write anything you like with any gear you like, BUT you can use NO DRUMS. Or maybe you can write something but it must ALL DRUMS.

From our Modular experience maybe the problem was that the conditions were too narrow for many people to enter ?

Other than that maybe we can just have some sort of "best song of the month" wih whatever is submitted anyway ?

Random thoughts . . .

I don't think the contest was really too narrow, but participation of people is not as obvious as we first tough, but this is still a very good experience. I didn't participate in this one (was moving from Montreal to Paris), but i liked every entry, super cool.

I think this is not a bad idea to have instead a 'song of the month' thing. At least we could vote on more entries obviously.

Anyway, we must not let go this thing to keep the momemtum. Good thing WILL come to those who persist.

Maybe a lot of users - like me, started a project for the competition, but wasn't able to finsih it for different reasons (like me - Christmas, school, work, and I moved house), but the intention was there
I like the concept of restriction when making music, it makes it easier for me to explore the possibilities within the limits, while when everything is alloved I find it difficult to focus... So please give me a new "set of restrictions", so I can get started.

I’m in with whatever you like, as long as you don’t let out the learning thing out of this. If the learning thing is no longer the background of the contests, we would be probably loosing a lot I think.
